The Keto Diet-Lose Weight Get Healthy

What is the Keto diet? Basically, it’s a  Lifestyle. Ketogentics is eating a very low diet in carbs, moderate proteins, and high in good fats. It is a way of life that our ancestors embraced hundreds of years ago. More on that later. You may say that this diet sounds like the ole Adkins Diet, where you ate very high fats.–As much bacon as you desired. Well, a Keto diet is simuliar, but very different. 50-70% of your daily caloric consumption will be from fats. The first thing your body burns for energy is carbohydrates. By eating a diet low in carbs, it forces your body to turn to the stored fat in your body as energy.

If weight loss is your main goal, then you may want to also include intermittent fasting. This is a way of eating where you limit your food intake to only 8 hours in a day. The other 16 hours, you are fasting. Some people fast for the entire day-every other day. The more common way is to eat your last meal around 7-8pm. After that point, you do not have any more food. Normally, you would then go to bed 3-4 hours after that meal. From 7pm-7am, is 12 hours. Your goal is to push back your first meal another 4 hours beyond that point. Your first meal would be around lunch time. Your goal is to eat only 2 meals. Around 12noon, and then Dinner at 7pm. Perhaps a small snack in between. All of the foods that you eat in one day is within the 8-hour window.

Many people drink a tea or coffee in the mornings with coconut oil and grass-fed butter. This is a wonderful drink, it will keep you full until it is time to have your first meal. I personally drink BulletProof Coffee.

Many people ask me about how does The Paleo Diet work. Here is lots of great information All About Paleo. Good Luck.

Garcinia Cambogia Warning Label!!

Garcinia Cambogia,  a tropical fruit also known as the Malabar tamarind, is a popular weight-loss supplement. People say it blocks your body’s ability to make fat and it puts the brakes on your appetite. It could help keep blood sugar and cholesterol levels in check, too. You’ll find it in bottles on the shelf at the store as well as mixed with other ingredients in diet products. Info source webmd.com.

How It Works

The active ingredient in the fruit’s rind, hydroxycitric acid, or HCA, has boosted fat-burning and cut back appetite in studies. It appears to block an enzyme called citrate lyase, which your body uses to make fat. It also raises levels of the brain chemical serotonin, which may make you feel less hungry.

Type 2 Diabetes and High Cholesterol

Garcinia cambogia may make it easier for your body to use glucose, the sugar your cells need for energy. Mice that got garcinia cambogia in one study had lower insulin levels than mice that didn’t. That’s another reason, besides weight loss, that people with diabetes are interested in it. However, if you’re taking garcinia cambogia along with a medication to control your blood sugar, your glucose could get dangerously low.

Some research has found that garcinia cambogia can also improve cholesterol levels, lowering triglycerides and LDL (the “bad” cholesterol) and raising HDL (the “good” cholesterol). But you shouldn’t use it if you’re already on a prescription for your cholesterol.

My Personal Experience: Be careful with this supplement. I have used it with great results. I was not hungry. and I lost weight without a lot of effort. I cut portions, and exercised. My advice would be to start slow, with a minimum dosage, then worked your way up if desired. The suggested daily dosage is from 250-1000 milligrams per day.
